Session Overview
Managing Real World Emerging Risks as a Result of AI – Tips and Tricks for GCs
Artificial intelligence has moved from boardroom buzzword to daily operational reality, and General Counsel are now expected to manage its risks well beyond the familiar territory of data protection and basic technology compliance. This session looks past the fundamentals to explore the emerging, real-world legal challenges that AI is creating across the business.
Our panel brings together specialists in employment law, insurance law, litigation, cyber security, competition and contracting to give GCs a genuinely cross-disciplinary view of the AI risk landscape. Topics include the employment implications of AI-driven decision-making and workforce monitoring, how insurance policies are adapting (or failing to adapt) to AI-related exposures, the litigation risks emerging from privilege and AI evidence, cyber vulnerabilities introduced by AI tools and third-party systems, competition considerations and the contractual protections GCs should be building into supplier and customer agreements.
Attendees will leave with practical, actionable tips for identifying and managing these emerging risks within their own organisations, drawing on real examples and lessons learned from practitioners working at the coalface of AI-related disputes and advisory work.
