Aba was appointed as the Head of People at Stor-Age Property REIT Ltd in 2020. Prior to this, she transitioned through various HR roles at the company as HR Manager, Assistant HR Manager, and HR Assistant with a career spanning 13 years in core Human Resources. Aba holds a BA in International Relations degree from the University of Stellenbosch and has recently qualified as a SHRM SCP – Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Senior Certified Professional. Before moving into HR, she began her career as an Assistant Operations Manager – a sales and customer service role based in one of their facilities and through upskilling, development and sheer grit and determination, worked her way to the role she now carries. As an HR Generalist, Aba has a passion for digital transformation and employee wellbeing which she ingrains in the development and implementation of policies and practices that ensure the long-term sustainability of the people that drive the organisation. Aba has made an impact at Stor-Age by championing employee wellness, automation of the employee lifecycle and has supported the seamless integration of staff during several acquisitions. Under her leadership, Stor-Age has taken a broader stance on employee wellbeing to focus on financial, mental and physical wellbeing with initiatives around automation to enhance efficiency and improved EVP benefits like paid maternity & paternity leave to boost employee retention and attraction.
