Session Overview

Bridging the Gap: Turning SAP from a System into a Solution
Ever bought a “bakkie” (preferably a Hilux) to boost business operations, only to find people still prefer pushing wheelbarrows? That’s what implementing S4HANA can feel like when users aren’t brought along for the journey. A system is only as effective as the people who use it — and getting everyone to see value in it is the real challenge.
At NamPower’s Transmission Division, we’ve learned that the human factor is the make-or-break element of SAP success. Since 2016, we’ve tackled the realities of system adoption — from “we’ve always done it this way” veterans, to disengaged decision-makers, to young early adopter’s eager for change. Our journey also highlighted the importance of closer collaboration between IT and end users during system enhancements and upgrades, ensuring new solutions truly meet operational needs and integrate seamlessly across SAP modules.
This session shares our hands-on journey — the highs of upgrading to S4HANA, the miles travelled to train teams across regions, and the lessons learned in turning feedback and maintenance data into meaningful operational and financial decisions. Join us to explore practical strategies for turning SAP from a system you use into a solution that delivers real value
Three Tangible Learnings
Learning 1: Drive real SAP adoption through ground-level engagement.
Learning 2: Bridge the gap between IT and end users.
Learning 3: Connect modules, unlock insights, and power smarter decisions.
