Session Overview

Data Observability by Design: Strengthening Data Management for AI-Driven Decisioning
As AI systems increasingly generate and act on insights, traditional approaches to data management are being stretched. Observability is emerging as a critical extension of data management, providing end-to-end visibility across how data is created, transformed, and consumed by both humans and AI systems.
In this session, Jo Riseborough explores how organisations are embedding observability into their data management frameworks to ensure data remains consistent, traceable, and governed at scale. From managing metric drift to explaining AI outputs, observability is becoming essential to maintaining trust and reducing risk in AI-enabled environments.
We will discuss how stronger data management, through structured ownership, lineage, and real-time visibility, enables organisations to confidently operationalise AI, connect insights to decisions, and respond faster when issues arise. Attendees will leave with a clearer view of how to evolve data management practices to support continuous, AI-driven decision-making.
