You Launched It… So, Why Aren’t They Using It? Rethinking Adoption in HR & L&D Technology
Organisations are investing in HR and L&D technologies – from digital learning platforms to AI tools and more. Yet, many of these initiatives struggle to become integrated into the flow of work. Initiatives are often plagued with low adoption and inconsistent usage resulting in the intended business impact not being fully realised.
The problem often isn’t the technology. It’s how adoption is led.
In this practical session, I will draw on my experience leading large scale digital learning and change management for business technology adoption, to explore why technology implementations fail to deliver sustained value, and I’ll share what HR and L&D professionals can do differently.
I’ll use digital learning as a core example and I’ll share a simple, actionable framework of critical success factors to drive adoption from the start thus shifting the focus from launch to behaviour change and ultimately, business impact. I will show how these principles can be applied to a range of technologies to support HR & L&D professionals to gain stakeholder buy-in and drive meaningful integration into business.
